Band Camp Wrap Up

Good Evening!

Thank you all for an amazing end to Band Camp! Me and the staff have been so impressed by the effort and improvements from all sections this past week, we have set the standard for the rest of the season really high! Also thank you to everyone that came out to our performance today, it was a joy performing for you all and we hope you enjoyed it! Next Tuesday, July 29th from 5pm-8pm will be our first Tuesday evening rehearsal of the year, this rehearsal is required for all members!! Please make sure to save our google calendar located in the calendar tab to stay up to date on future rehearsals and performances.

Band Camp Week 2

Good Morning!

So excited to get back at it for our last 2 days of Band Camp this Week! Here are a few reminders and updates:

Car Wash Wrap Up:

Our Car Wash fundraiser yesterday was a huge success! Students thank you all so much for your hard work, and a huge thanks to our amazing boosters for helping setup the event!

Drill Day (Winds, Guard and Battery ONLY):

Tomorrow Monday, July 21st we will be learning how to read drill as well as learning a short example drill. It is imperative that I know exactly who will be there to ensure you will have a spot to march. So to do that please fill out the form below ONLY if you can guarantee your attendance on Monday, July 21st. Section leaders please make sure we inform our section chats as well so no one misses this information. Responses on this form will close at 12:00pm today Sunday, July 20th, please fill it out before then!

Parent Showcase:

On Tuesday, July 22nd at 2:30pm in our Auditorium we will be giving a free performance for parents and people in our community! Every section of the band will get to show you something they've been working on for the past week, as well as performing a selection from our 2025 field show "Life on the High Seas". We are so excited for you to see all the hard work your students have done this past week, so please come out and support!

Again students please fill out the drill form if you haven't already, and we will see you at 7:45 tomorrow morning!

Band Camp Week 1 Wrap Up

Good Evening!

Thank you all for an amazing first week of Band Camp!!! Me and the staff have been absolutely blown away by the progress made by every section, and we are so excited to keep working hard next week and the whole rest of the season! Here are some quick reminders heading into this weekend:

Car Wash:

Tomorrow from 8:00am-12:00pm is our Car Wash Fundraiser! All members are required to attend and help raise some funds to help us get down the road this season. All members will report at 7:45am, we will be posting an announcement on our social media tonight so please spread the word!

Band Camp Day 1

Good Evening!

Thank you for an amazing first day of Band Camp! It was so great seeing all the amazing work all of the sections are doing. Students please remember to continue hydrating and taking care of yourself tonight so we can have an even more successful day tomorrow. 

Also it totally slipped my mind in our wrap up meeting but tomorrow is crazy outfit day, so please feel free to wear your wildest wardrobe (that you can still move comfortably in!).

Band Camp Updates pt.2

Good Afternoon!

We are officially one week away from the start of Band Camp! Just a couple announcements before then:

Before you Arrive:

Leading up to this event students please make sure you are drinking at least 60-80 ounces (3-4 hydroflasks) of water a day to stay properly hydrated, as well as getting outside for at least an hour a day to get acclimated to the hot weather climate. Students are expected to arrive at least 15 minutes early each day to set up their equipment, as well as bring the following:

-Athletic clothes and shoes

-Instrument (sticks or mallets for percussion)
-3 ring binder with sheet protectors
-Sunscreen, Hat, Sunglasses
-Minimum 32 oz refillable water bottle

Spirit Days:

Each day for band camp we will have spirit days picked out by your amazing student leadership!

Wednesday, July 16th - Student Leadership Shirts; so we can help everyone identify our leaders!

Thursday, July 17th - Crazy/Wacky clothes

Friday, July 18th - Superhero Day

Monday, July 21st - Twin Day

Tuesday, July 22nd - Section colors (will determine at camp)

Parent Performance:

On Tuesday, July 22nd at 2:30pm we will have our parent performance in the Arcadia Auditorium! Here we will have each section of the band showcase a little bit of what they've been working on the past week, as well as perform the first movement of our 2025 production "Life on the High Seas"! We hope you can make it out to see your amazing students perform!

Super excited to begin our Band Camp in less than 2 weeks! In case you need a refresher here is that schedule:

Wednesday-Friday, July 16th-18th 8am-3:30pm

Saturday, July 19th 8am-12pm (Car Wash Fundraiser)

Monday-Tuesday, July 21-22nd 8am-3:30pm

Upcoming Dates

Good Afternoon!

We are now less than a week away from our first meeting as the 2025-2026 Spirit of Arcadia Marching Band! Just a reminder this meeting will take place Monday, June 2nd from 5-7pm in the Band Room and will have information about the program, schedule, payment, staff, and of course revealing our 2025 production! Following this meeting we will have our first Spring Training Session on Tuesday, June 3rd from 5-7pm in the Band Room as well. We will have more information about this first session at the June 2nd meeting but make sure to wear athletic clothes and shoes, bring a large water bottle, and personal instruments for some sections (flute, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, sticks/mallets for percussion).
